Ira was born in Logan, Utah, attended the University of British Columbia for his undergraduate degree, and now attends the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Ira was part of the Medical Research Scholars Program at the National Institutes of Health and studied genomics, clinical trial design, and big-data analysis. Ira founded the nonprofit organization, One Hour For Life, Inc. that focuses on providing sustainable healthcare through cross-cultural collaborations, and spent time in Ethiopia studying the burden of pediatric illness in Addis Ababa. He is always looking for a friend to ride a bike, ski, or be outside with, and is a huge Star Wars fan so I hope you are ready for a movie marathon!
